So our little gymnast went to state last weekend back in November 2014! We had tons of fun the night before. Drove up to Denton to stay overnight in a hotel with a swimming pool. Got to eat dinner at a restaurant. And then got up super early to get to the Texas Women’s College for an 8am stretch time.

We get out of the car a the College and little Marie decides she wants to limp… Insert my crazy facial expression and my comment of, “Ummmm, sweetie… Get it together we are at state. Your knee can’t be hurting that bad.” Yeah, I had a low mommy moment. But COME ON DUDE! Farreal?! Everything we, YES we, have worked for and you choose today to have a knee injury. Lol! Judge me if you want, she isn’t the only one who has worked for this state meet! I spent just as many hours at that gym as she did, HA! Granted I just didn’t work out as much as she did… Let me stop lying, my ass didn’t work out at all. I just sat and watched her workout and talk about why I should be working out. LOL!

Her bars score was 8.650, balance beam was 6.90, vault was 9.075 and her floor routine was 7.6IMG_8990.JPG

All in all it was a great experience. We had fun, she had fun (though she was a little disappointed with herself) it was well worth the trip and family time!IMG_8985

Her knee injury/pain really did hinder her during the competition. She fell getting on and off of the beam. She didn’t push enough on her back handspring so she fell on the second one and for some reason she fell on her mill circle. I think the one that frustrated her the most was the beam. Vault she did great as usual πŸ™‚

Overall, we survived the season and are somewhat looking forward to the next season. We DID cut back on hours spent at the gym by half, so instead of 12 hours she is only there 6 hours. Gives her a chance to be a child still. And less time I am at the gym. We also switched gyms, mainly because of the hours but there were a few other issues. None of which are that important.

Our Little Gymnast- Marie

Not everyone is aware, I mean if you’ve lived under a rock you wouldn’t be aware (I’m just kidding). We have a little gymnast in our home, she happens to be the same little girl with severe food allergies, who is deaf and wears hearing aids, and our little girl who decided at 34 weeks it was time for her grand entrance into our lives. To be honest, I truly believe she is the strongest of our 6 children. She has dealt with so much in her short 7 years and amazes us on an everyday basis. She has surpassed every goal that was set for her in her schools ARD (IEP) goals and is still doing that to this day, we are amazed at the things she can do at this stage in her life. I do get apprehensive with the thought she might not need an ARD, but I will deal with those feelings as they come along. I can’t worry about the future, I need to be in the present. And in the present this little girl has made it to the state competition with her Level 3P team.

We are so proud of all of the girls who are going to state, we couldn’t be happier for them and the things have have done and are doing. They have an amazing group of 7-9 year old girls. I figured I would post some photos and videos of our gymnast so y’all can see her in action as we have.

I will post more photos and some videos later, I realized as I was looking for photos to post that I have removed majority of them off of my computer and uploaded them to google+ and my backup external hard drive. I’ve been trying to empty my computer of the hundreds of thousands of pictures I have stored on it because it is running out of space to do the normal tasks, LOL!

Anyways, Peace, Love and Hairgrease πŸ™‚

It’s been a long time.

It is the last day of August, where did summer vacation go? In June, it seemed like we were enjoying our time as a family of 5 and patiently waiting for our first placement. In July, we spent our time getting to know our first placement and getting on a new routine/schedule. Having two small ones in the house sure does change things. August has been filled with trying to catch-up from July, get into the mindframe that school starts again and that we are back to the hustle and bustle of the rat race called keeping busy…

Anyways, I’m not one for much conversation so I will just post pictures to kind of catch you up πŸ™‚

There are tons more pictures, but since a ton of them have the newest members of our household in them I can’t post them online. I will post more pictures of other things we have done, though it has been a “short” summer it has been amazing and fun.

Love y’all, Iiona

Summer 2014 Bingo

I can’t remember if I posted about this last year or not. But we are doing it again this year. Our Summer Bingo Board. Getting a Blackout will earn them a trip to a waterpark. And getting anything else will score ice cream, skate park, etc. I still haven’t figured that out completely and they haven’t asked, LOL!

But anyways, without further ado… Our Summer Bingo Board! Welcome Summer πŸ™‚

So I have TONS, I mean TONS of photos on my computer and stored online that have never seen the light of day. Anyways, for our Anniversary in March Isaac said I needed to find pictures to be hung in our room out of something we have taken or I have taken. So I went on a trip down memory lane and found the bottom picture (my wedding one) that I thought would be an awesome picture to enlarge and put up. He had other ideas. The first one is what he came up with, his reasoning… This is where it all kind of started.

So I had it enlarged, and it is now hanging on his side of the room. I still have to fill my photo frame and then come up with an acceptable collage to put in the wall opposite our bed.
