Just another manic Monday

Eddy Virgin-Lewis

Every year Eddy comes and helps us countdown to Christmas. If you don’t remember, Eddy is our Elf who started visiting us about 2 years ago. Each year he seems to get more and more daring with the things he does. This year was no different. Our girls LOVE Eddy and D-boy tolerates him. Only because I told him he has no choice but to act as if he doesn’t know its us doing the work. A few times this year I even let him set up the things Eddy was going to do.

As you can see, Eddy has two additional friends this year. They are Freddy and Jr. Eddy is the white elf, Freddy is the black elf and that leaves Jr being the reindeer. Last year while at my favorite store… Tarjay… and we found a few clothes and a reindeer, that’s how we have Jr and some of their cool gear. Anyways, I’m almost positive I’ve set myself up for failure for next year. I don’t think I can out do myself. I mean, they arrived in a hotair balloon, played video games, brought their super cool new Disney Ornament and a few other things.

My goal next year is to just make sure they continue on their path for a consecutive 2?+ odd days. I think I will wait until like December 1st to have them come back though. LOL!

Well anyways, enjoy the pictures! I had fun with most of it. Some days/nights I was mad that I even thought of the idea… Like Super Mario Brothers… That took Ike and I FOREVER to do. But the girls totally LOVED it. So I guess well worth it, ha!

Remember that Elf we had…

Well, he returned for another 24 days of fun in our house. You remember him, right?! Eddy Virgin-Lewis.

Well his grand entrance that Ike and I had planned for him didn’t go off as planned. As a matter of fact his return was postponed by like 3 days. I was actually worried that Mini Mouse would just go find him and bring him back herself, lol!

The night of his return, December 1st. We got a new Fostercare placement. Actually we got 3 little ones & well they tend to help put holds on things around these parts. Lol! But more about them in a different post.

Eddy has had some days where he was just plain stuck in his spot he choose the night before. Because this mama and papa were just to darn tired to move that stupid thing. Lol!
But when he did move the girls loved it and D-boy kind of rolled his eyes. I’m glad he doesn’t try and ruin the fun for his younger sisters.

Below are just a few of the things he has done since arriving. He leaves tonight, Thank You LAWD!!!!!! Didn’t think I could keep it up any longer.

The annoying thing about his departure is he hasn’t made them anything, food wise, which is what he does. So I’m stuck making some type of something Elfy tonight, after all kiddos are in bed, and I’m typically not far behind. Sooooo, this will be interesting! I’ll update you on that tomorrow.

Then of course there is the Nutcracker Elf that showed up everyday for practice and performances. Now yall think I have issues, no sir/ma’am she has more time and skills on her side. And I’m contemplating doing this next year. Because seriously these are THE CUTEST ELVES EVER!!!! Lol

Here is a quick rundown of what Eddy did this Christmas season. I intended on posting a pic once a day, but then decided against it because I forgot to move him sometimes too…

Eddy Diaries… Day 23

YEAH!!!!!! It’s Christmas Eve, which also means I am NOW up to date on my Eddy Diaries! Today the kiddos woke up and will wake up to Eddy having made them Christmas Eve breakfast pancakes… all RED! The only one awake now is D-boy, and he has already eaten. The girls are still sleeping, which is awesome. But I’m so ready for them to see what Eddy did, LOL! Or more like what I did πŸ™‚ Anyways, I will be doing a marathon wrapping session tonight and throughout the day to get the gifts wrapped and under the tree.

The kiddos won’t be getting much under the tree, because of our big move from WI to TX and because we literally bought a house full of furniture including new bedroom furniture for them this summer… Not that it really matters because we typically don’t get them much anyways, we try to keep it low key and little expectations. LOL! I am not one to try and compete with myself for the next year, half of the things they get are new clothes… and that’s because, well, they need them. Haha! We use Christmas as a time to buy them the clothes they need. Mini Mouse is growing like a mini weed and she has already outgrown everything we got her like 2 months ago… darn it girl, LOL!

Anyways the other things we get them are books, not that they need them. Their bookshelves are overflowing with books, but there isn’t anything wrong with that. And they get at least one toy. This year is different, they will get a couple of toys. Mini Mouse really, really wanted a pet. Like something awful, she asked for a bird on her list. But I know she really wants a dog. She is so convincing, but not enough to make me go out and buy an animal to come and live in this house. I think our move here has made her miss her Godparents dogs even more, which just means she needs to spend EXTRA time with Champ when we go back to WI to visit them πŸ™‚ Because that is the only pet she is getting for the time being, and I get to make that final choice, LOL! Now when we move into our house that we buy, I might lose all of my arguments… procrastinating to buy that house even more, LOL!

Now Ms. Marie asked for basically nothing… Big Bouncy Ball, Candy Cane Box (not sure what that is), Christmas Tree Decorations, Fashion Barbie Doll, a Princess Book and like one other things. So she got her whole list, minus the Candy Cane Box and the iPod. Sorry my sweet 5 year old, I’m not going there with you πŸ™‚

Eddy Diaries… Day 22

Christmas Eve Eve, the kiddos were BEYOND excited to wake up and see this. It’s 2 days until Christmas and they kept letting us know ALL DAY! That’s great for them but bad for us… we haven’t wrapped any other gifts and we still need to find a replacement Mary and Joseph for our Nativity set, all we have now are the barn scene and the animals… Darn it all, LOL! I really don’t want to go and spend another $30- $45 Β on a new one. We were Elf’d, Eddy came and turned our milk green and red…
