A weekend away was perfect, not too long, not to short. Not only that, it was a mere 7 hours away. To us, that’s a cake walk. Last year we did some ridiculous amount of miles over a 10 day period. It was fun in the moment, but not sure how quickly I am ready to do that again. Not to mention, we only graced one state with our presence. I’m happy about that!
We can now say we’ve been to 18 of the 50 states… Only 6 more to go to reach our goal of 25 before March of 2017. You gotta have a deadline and our deadline is our 10th Anniversary (Wedding Anniversary that is). After that date we will look to start using our passports! Virgin Islands is looking to be our first over seas trip and I couldn’t be happier. And when I refer to us using passports, I mean our whole family, not just Isaac and I. It wouldn’t be fun if our kiddos didn’t come with us. We really want to go to Italy or Asia, but that’s one I have to do some major researching for. Especially with our crazy food allergies we have in this house. Like peanuts, treenuts, dairy, fresh shellfish… It’s kind of hard to visit two places that utilize all of those ingredients in most foods. So I need time to research and we need time to save money, lol! I mean it will cost us a few arms and legs to go, but it will be well worth it. Plus our oldest in the house will be 16, so he can work to save his own spending money 🙂
Anyways, here are some pictures. I will post more later. Once I get them off my camera…
This was the day we made it to Tulsa, OK. We made it to the fairgrounds where the National Bikers Roundup was held and got in and set up shop so that we could eat and people watch. Believe me this is one of the best places to people watch.
