Be Still

The title can have so many meanings depending on who you are and what is going on in your life. For instance: “Be still and know that I am God.” is the first thing that comes to mind. Another thing that comes to mind is just sitting and being, and the last thing that comes to mind is my son and his chess fascination lately…

He is set to become the next young black chess master, and as his parents we are there to help support his dream :-) Which brings us to his very first chess tournament, he won his first 2 rounds and lost the last 3, he did exceptionally well and we are soooo proud of him!

This last picture is of my middle daughter playing against daddy and her younger sister… yeah everyone is pretty much into chess EXCEPT mommy (and I am happy about that, LOL!)

Last link is to a couple of article my son read that has him on the kick to be the next black chess master at a young age: http://mybrownbaby.com/2011/11/checkmate-three-young-black-chess-masters-and-the-pressure-for-smart-black-kids-to-be-great/
